Written by KUSF, on 14-10-2008 20:46 Hi Kercelia, As a former student myself, I can tell you that there are alot of problems with the University with communications and following through as far as the departments are concerned. If you do not know who to contact to go up the ladder, resolving your issues with the University is far near impossible. The education however is excellent and it's ashame that they school can't seem to get it together. I would recommend that you contact Dr. David Clinefelter. He is the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost Contact information is below: Kaplan University 550 West Van Buren, Suite 700 Chicago, IL 60607-3827 Telephone: 312.777.6426 Also, please join us at our student forums and perhaps our mods, members and staff can assist you further. We are not affiliated with Kaplan, but are a community of students that have experienced issues with the school and should be able to further assist you with your problems. There is also a bunch of contact information for you to utilize on the boards. www.kaplanforums.com Good luck and keep us posted. |
| 3. Written by UI, on 06-10-2008 18:47 Try reading the reports on www.ripoffreport.com. You get a much better sense of the overall problem with deceptive sales practices, billing problems etc. Many of the complaints are from ex-employees who disclose the sales quota system and ineptitude of the 'academic advisers' and other staff. Try calling 1-877-557-2575 this is the government ombudsmen office. You can also try calling the Department of Education at 1-800-433-3243 or 1-319-337-5665. If everyone who has been victimized by these university pretenders would complain to these organizations, maybe something could be done to either end them or require them to act like a professional entity. God Bless and good luck! |
